The first step is a simply initial questionnaire to find out simple details such as income and whether a mortgage form.
The next is a quotation form which will get quotes from lenders this is not a fixed offer and may change with time. Life assurance form is part of this. Make sure that this is all completed correctly with exact details being given. This is with life assurance companies.
The mortgage application form, every banks has its own requirements. This form is made up of several parts all of which must be filled out by each person applying for the mortgage.
Photocopies are recommended of all your own documents such as bank statements in case your letter is lost in the post as things can go wrong.
The offer will be in French and will normally be sent by registered delivery. This document is a legal document and a legal contract do not simply sign this if you don’t understand it. There is usually between 10-30 day window to sent this and for it to be received. Be very careful of this as mistiming or misdating could mean another offer letter has to be sent.
