Surprisingly, the French do not understand how friendly neighbours can be. Patrick tells us this is not affected by whether you are foreign or not. He also tells us that if people don't acknowledge you you should not take it personally.
What happens if you have unfriendly or disruptive neighbours? Is there anything you can do? What about moving to a new area? Can you find out if the neighbourhood is safe? Well, yes you can. Patrick explains that you hire a private detective and he will do a neighbourhood audit. Most of these people are ex-policemen so they might even be able to tell you more in general terms. Estate agents have reported that potential clients have decided not to buy or move following one of these reports.
Lots more in the interview so please do listen in.
